Our 28 years of experience in preparing children for the leap from a small school to a BIG school has shown us what really matters. Each child enjoys learning and is happy in school. He learns the right values. His character is developed.  And he acquires the basic skills needed to cope with the transition to more formal and structured learning in the bigger schools.

Our PEDIAkids learn skills that stay long after they have outgrown Barney and Sesame Street:  concentration on a given task until it is finished; how to share; cooperation; self-control; discipline; respect for self and others and a love for God. PEDIAkids are confident and sociable. They are articulate. They are well- adjusted kids.

We invite you to explore our website to see how PEDIA HOUSE can prepare your child for the BIG schools.

Brief History

Mrs. Anita Rilloraza and Mrs. Remedios Eusebio founded PEDIAmorphosis HOUSE in 1983.  They envisioned a school that would provide pleasant experiences and interesting activities so that each child enjoys learning and is happy in school. At the same time, they also wanted a school that would help prepare little boys and girls for the bigger schools.

Pedia means child, and morphosis (from metamorphosis) means change.  This whole process of growing up from caterpillar to butterfly applies to all the children who come to PEDIA HOUSE.

Over 6000 children have made PEDIA HOUSE their home before moving on to the bigger schools.  There are those who have already graduated and have joined the corporate world.  Some are married and have children who are now in PEDIA HOUSE.

Educational Program and
Teaching Method

Educational Program:

Our curriculum emphasizes the learning of basic skills in Reading, Writing, Language, and Math so that children can move on to more formal and structured learning in the big schools.

Our program is integrated and centered on the holistic development of children.  Other subjects like Science, Social Studies, Music, Art, and Physical Education are combined with the basic subjects.

Values formation and character development are also part of the basic curriculum.

Teaching Approach/Method:

PEDIA HOUSE uses the modified structured approach in  teaching children. It is a systematic approach – each activity has a specific skill to be learned by the child.  PEDIAkids learn step by step – teaching is built upon what the child already knows and is able to do.

Our teachers use a variety of tools/methods to teach  PEDIAkids like visual aids, songs, movement, story telling, watching and listening to tapes/CDs/VCDs, dramatic play, games, learning activity sheets, and art. We start training the child (especially at the prep level) to do activities at home to prepare him for homework given in the big schools. This serves as a guide for the child to practice/review what he has learned and helps develop good study habits.

When necessary, special sessions may be scheduled by our teachers for PEDIAkids who need to catch up with the lessons.  For the children who are moving on to the big schools, PEDIA HOUSE can help them get ready for the entrance examinations. Although our curriculum already prepares PEDIAkids for this move, some parents may feel that their child needs additional help and may request the school for assistance. This extra service is free of charge.
