Parent School
Partnership |
|
|
|
We
believe in working together with the parents for our
PEDIAkids. We encourage our PEDIAparents to participate in
school activities and share their talents and resources with
the school – storytelling, singing, dancing and organizing
activities like field trips, the family day and the
different school programs. Studies have shown that children
whose parents are actively involved in their school perform
better.
Here are some samples of our
PEDIAparents participating in our school activities:

Teachers’ Day
PEDIAparents
are teachers for a day! Some teach art, some read stories,
some even teach music. Whatever your talent is, our
PEDIAkids truly enjoy the break! Plus, the children of
parent volunteers are so proud of their Teacher Papa and
Teacher Mama.

Christmas Program
How
about hosting, playing the part of the narrator or leading
the singing of Christmas carols in our Christmas Program?
PEDIAparents are very talented! They also help plan the
games for the Christmas party and bring delicious food for
all to share and enjoy.

|
Family and Field Day
This event is truly a family affair! A PEDIAfamily leads
the prayer. PEDIAmoms perform their own dance number! They
also host the affair. PEDIAparents work together with the
teachers in coming up with interesting activities for the
entire PEDIAfamily to enjoy.

Outreach
Program -Maraing
Salamat Po!
In
2008, our
PEDIAparents invited
children from
Barangay Botocan for
a morning of fun and
sharing with our
PEDIAkids. Prior to
the day, donations
were packed in
surprise packages.
The children sang,
danced, did art and
listened to
stories. They also
shared food. Our
new friends could
not stop saying, "Maraming
Salamat Po!" for a
truly memorable day.

Free
Education Outreach Program

Every PEDIAkid enrolled in
PEDIA HOUSE helps educate a needy child in the
barangay through the school’s free education
program. Twenty five children are chosen and given
free classes for one school year before they move on
to grade school. This project was started in 1998.
To date, around 300 children have benefited from
this outreach program. Some have already graduated
and are now in high school.

The CHRYSALIS
"The
Chrysalis" was
launched in 2008 in
celebration of the
25th Anniversary of
Pedia House. This
book of memories
captures the
PEDIAkids as they
transform from
caterpillars to
beautiful
butterflies in a
school year.
